My favorite places to work
Inspired by my friend Marianne Cantwell’s recent post, “Top 10 Coolest Offices around the World”, I thought I’d share some of my favorite “office spaces”
When I’m home in Cambria, I spend most days working out of my van at Moonstone Beach. When I need a break, I take Lucy for a walk along the boardwalk. 
Sometimes we stop and visit with friends, canine and human.
Last summer, I worked from a campground in Acadia National Park and other lovely spots in Maine.
When I visit my son, Todd, in the mountains outside of Asheville, I take my laptop out onto the deck of his yurt. 
Recently I’ve been spending time near family and friends north of Cincinnati. This is the view of Landen Lake from the sofa where I work 
When I need to escape and plan or write, I go to my favorite spot on earth, Big Sur. I’m off the grid and off-line but this is where I do my best thinking. 
A couple of years ago, I spent six months in St. Augustine and worked most afternoons in the shade of the beach gazebo. Break-time revolved around low-tide: dog walking time.
And where ever I work, one or both of my co-workers are close by.
