Great, insightful article (and website)! What good points about reconnecting with people who knew you when you were at the early sparks of the dreams forming in overall vision. 'Making me think I might look some of those ol' college pals up on the social websites afterall (when I sort of had written that idea off). Thanks, Terri, for the inspiration!

I have used my old journals and photo albums to reconnect with the childhood me, the dreamer, the idealist.

But, most of the people in my life have known me either my whole life or for most of my adult life. These people still see me through eyes clouded with their own judgments and prejudices.

I've never known anyone to see the real me.

That changed two years ago when I met someone who for the first time saw the real me and the person I want to be. His friendship and complete acceptance of me changed my life.

This post really struck a cord with me.

Thanks for such a wonderfully inspiring, honest and helpful post.
