Where are those inspired entrepreneurs today?

Let's Connect

One of my favorite parts of being an entrepreneur is that I don’t have to do the same thing forever. I can vary my days and even create new projects or totally switch directions if I decide to.

Many of you just starting out might be suffering the fear-of-choosing-one-thing because you forget that the business you start with doesn’t have to be what you’re doing in five years.

This morning I was looking back over some of the creative entrepreneurs I’ve featured on Inspired Livelihood and thinking about how some have grown their businesses in new directions. I’m going to update you on where a few of them are now. I hope this will inspire you to examine the possibilities of all your options.

Melissa Morgan, Ms Cupcake, has published a cookbook  and has launched a wholesale line of cupcakes that are now carried at nine Whole Foods Markets across the UK. Customers will be able to pick from a menu of eight gorgeous flavours – Chocolate Explosion, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Bakewell Tart, Banana Chocolate Chip, Blackberry Cheesecake, Carrot Pineapple, Lemon Blueberry and her best-seller The Ambassador. Melissa says, “The partnership is an exciting step forward for us as we are on a big mission to bring decadent vegan cakes to the masses and there is no doubt a launch at Whole Foods will ensure amazing free-from products will get to a wider customer base.”
Ruth Davis has published a powerful new book “Heart Sparks: 7 Practices for Loving Your Life”.
In 2015, she took her book tour cross country and also has developed new Mac iPad and iPhone training products at Mac2School.

Carla Blasek sold her wonderful Zena Moon candle business and followed another passion. She founded K9 Support NW. Carla says “Our mission is to raise funds for police K9 units in Washington, Idaho and Montana that are in need of supplemental funding to purchase dogs, ballistic vests, training and equipment. We also plan to work as an educational resource for communities by helping to explain how K9s benefit both police departments and the community.”

Sherry Belul has added a DIY Celebration book e-course. The course includes simple, printable templates and with step-by-step instructions, audio and video and a complete resource list for creating an amazing tribute book. Sherry says “By the end of this class, if you follow along with us, you’ll have a ready-to-present gift in time for the holidays”.

Laura Cottril continues to grow her portrait photography business and has also partnered with her sister Nancy Barbarino in a new business, LalaandNini , creating quality handmade jewelry and art.
